If you are not a Christian - Why Not?
Is it because you are afraid of what others may say of
you?
“Whosever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of
man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s and of
the holy angels.” (Luke 9:26)
Is it because you are not willing to give up all for
Christ?
“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath,
he cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:33)
Is it because you fear that you are too great a sinner?
“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” (I Timothy 1:15)
Is it because you are afraid you will not be accepted?
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to
me, I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37)
Is it because you are postponing the matter without any
definite reason?
“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow.
For what is your life? It is
even a vapor that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (James
4:14)
“Boast not thyself of tomorrow: for thou knowest not what a day may bring
forth.” (Proverbs 27:1)
Is it because you are unwilling to confess and forsake
your sins?
“He that covereth his sin shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and
forsaketh them shall have mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:
and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our
God for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:7)
Is it because you will not forgive those who have
trespassed against you?
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also
forgive you.” (Matthew 6:14)
Is it because of the crooked walk of professing
Christians?
“For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ; that every
one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done,
whether it be good or bad. (II Corinthians 5:10)
Is it because you are thinking that you will live
morally and that God ought to be satisfied with that?
“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” (John 3:17)
“Whosever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is
guilty of all.”
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
After The Storm
After the Storm
Did you think you’d make it through?
God’s promise fulfilled in being with you
As the waters are raging and the wind a beast
The power of His hand is in control to cease
To question the work and the Workers plan
Is an answer most wait with great demand
Not knowing what happened and who’s to blame
Will be a prediction that is unexplained
To see the destruction and life that is lost
One has to wonder was it worth the cost
Can we recover? Can we maintain?
Can we rebuild what we lost, in vain?
He’s sitting there listening
He’s awaiting your plea
He’s reaching out His hand
As you fall to your knees
No reason to wonder, No reason to wait
No reason to allow your life the same fate
Just surrender your questions, consider the price
Allow your life to be given to Christ
After the breakthrough, after the calm
Remember who brought you here…
After the storm.
